The company, today known as Ilirija d. o. o., started in 1908, when the company's founder, Franc Golob, together with 6 of his associates started a company called Golob & Ko. They started manufacturing shoe and leather cleaning products for which Ilirija brand name was used for the first time. After some time, the factory was renamed to Ilirija. Ilirija’s has grown on sound business decisions and it has developed into a successful company with a long tradition.
Revlon was founded in 1932, by Charles Revson and his brother Joseph, along with a chemist, Charles Lachman, who contributed the "L" in the REVLON name.
Starting with a single product - a nail enamel unlike any before it - the three founders pooled their meager resources and developed a unique manufacturing process.
"In the factory, we make cosmetics. In the drug store, we sell hope."
CHARLES REVSON, FOUNDER OF REVLON
